How did 2013 fare for real estate in the Colorado Springs area?
Here are some statistics…
In the Pikes Peak MLS as a whole, 10,786 single family homes were sold. This was an 18% increase over the number of homes sold in 2012.
The median price for sold homes rose by 7.4% to $215,900.
What parts of town showed the largest increases?
The Marksheffel area showed the largest increase in the number of homes sold, up by over 46%! As you can see, almost every area of town showed an increase in sales- Briargate, Northgate, Northwest, etc… and areas outside of Colorado Springs- Falcon, Peyton and Woodland Park also had large increases. Peyton, Old Colorado City and Ute Pass (Cascade, Green Mountain Falls, Chipita Park) showed the largest increase in median sales price.
